We are a company belonging to Masaveu Industria, the industrial branch of Corporación Masaveu, a family business group with its head office in Oviedo (Asturias – Spain) and present at an international level.
From Morteros Tudela Veguín we are responsible for the mortar and other construction product lines of business, applying the tradition, reliability and commitment which govern the activities of our entire business group.
Morteros Tudela Veguín, S.A. was established in 2013 with the merger of the following companies which had been performing their work in this industrial branch:
- Prefabricados Asturianos, S.A. (PREFASA)
- Morteros y Hormigones de León, S.A. (MYHLESA)
- Galaica de Morteros, S.A. (GALAICA)
- General de Morteros, S.A. (GEMORSA)
The activities of all that integrated nowadays in Morteros Tudela Veguín commenced in 1969 with a line manufacturing concrete prefabricates in the installations of Cementos Tudela Veguín in Aboño (Carreño – Asturias).
The first independent company (PREFASA) was established in May 1976.
PREFASA transferred its installations to Riaño (Langreo – Asturias) in 1990, coinciding with the start-up of the first industrial dry mortar plant.
As pioneers in the implementation of dry mortar technology at the time in Spain, this was the start of a growth and expansion stage with the inclusion of factories in León (MYHLESA), Pontevedra (GALAICA) and Valladolid (GEMORSA).
The investments and extensions accomplished since then have allowed the current Morteros Tudela Veguín the availability of optimal resources and capacity to satisfy the most stringent market requirements.
